Therapy Rooted in NC From the Comfort of Home
Telehealth Therapy Across North Carolina
National companies promise quick fixes, but often leave you feeling like just another number. At Ottman Family Therapy, our telehealth services are locally grounded and tailored to you.
What makes us different:
Local expertise: NC–based therapists who understand our communities.
Consistency: You’ll work with the same therapist — no endless re-matching.
Insurance-friendly: We accept major insurers, including Medicaid (something national brands can’t offer).
Specialized care: Mental health, couples therapy, and family counseling designed for real life.
Telehealth can be a strong fit for people who:
Live in areas with few nearby therapy providers
Want a stable, ongoing relationship with the same therapist
Prefer the flexibility of meeting from home or a private space
Are balancing work, family, or caregiving responsibilities
Have tried large online platforms and are looking for something more personal
Value therapy that is intentional, relationship-based, and grounded in real life
Telehealth allows us to offer the same thoughtful, relationship based therapy without geography becoming a barrier to care.
We regularly work with clients in areas where in person therapy options are limited or waitlists are long, making consistent care difficult to access locally. At OFT there is no outsourcing, no rotating providers, and no system deciding who you meet with.

My approach combines research-backed methods with the real, lived experiences of couples I’ve worked with. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy to help partners reconnect at a deeper level, from the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and trust, and from differentiation theory to support each person’s growth within the relationship. I believe lasting change happens when couples learn to both stay connected and stand on their own two feet.
